My work as a Complementary Healthcare practitioner has been both creative and inspiring.

Since early childhood I have always loved drawing and painting. Mainly self-taught it has been a wonderful pastime and lifelong learning experience alongside my work.

Being a member of a local art group I have been inspired by other artists learning to use and appreciate different mediums, technics, and styles, including watercolour, acrylics, pen & wash and pencil.

I enjoy painting subjects found in nature, flowers, birds, landscapes and still life. Usually from my own photographs, fresh flowers or material and more recently I am enjoying the challenge of life drawing.

I have exhibited in Blackfriars, Carre Gallery and Paul’s Gallery in Pescod Square.

Geri Clarke has been making baskets for over 20 years. The willow is grown at Old Leake and processed to make a variety of baskets & basketry for the house and garden.

She also makes exhibition pieces to showcase the natural materials that can be used to make useful & beautiful objects. Other natural materials used include rush, flag and bark.

Born 1965. Started painting in 1980s. Inspired by 19th century American landscape painting and by English and American Arts and Craft movement. I really enjoy exploring colour and different painting techniques.

Lives and works in Boston

With a lifelong passion for photography and early hopes of becoming a photojournalist, I studied creative photography at Nottingham School of Art and the newly formed Trent Polytechnic in 1970.

After graduating, I joined the NHS in 1973 as a Medical Photographer, working across hospitals in the Midlands before specialising in Ophthalmology in the private sector.

Alongside this work, I continued my interest in general and commercial photography - taking portraits, covering weddings, and shooting for pleasure whenever possible.

I have long been fascinated by traditional methods now called “Alternative Imaging”. Since retiring, I have fully explored these enduring techniques, focusing on an eco‑friendly version of the classic Rawlins Oil Print Process.

In 2018, I was elected to the Bromoil Circle of Great Britain; today I am one of only 15 remaining members in the UK. In recent years, I have curated exhibitions and run workshops, with work featured in Treescapes and Moments in Time.

Graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, and was awarded an Elizabeth Greenshields Travel Scholarship before undertaking further postgraduate study.

Moving to London, I developed a career spanning design, marketing, and business development. Going on to run my own business, working with clients across sectors including television, printing, engineering, and marine technology.

Throughout my professional career, I continued to paint with a particular focus on portraiture. I also pursued ongoing learning, completing training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), studying Design Thinking at the Royal College of Art, and taking a wide range of technical and creative courses.

Since retiring, I have dedicated myself fully to my practice. My work falls into two main areas:

• Portraiture: I aim to capture more than just likeness. I seek to reveal the true essence of the sitter.
• Landscape: I strive to convey not only how a place looks, but also its unique atmosphere and emotional resonance.

Colour is central to everything I create, and I enjoy experimenting with different media to express the character of the land, sea, and people that inspire me.

Originally from Yorkshire, I worked as a lingerie designer and lecturer in Fashion Design & Textiles before taking early retirement and completing a BA(Hons) in Fine Art at Anglia Ruskin University.

My practice is rooted in sketchbooks and inspired by nature, wildlife, and the local landscape. I work across drawing, oil painting, collage, mono-prints, mixed media, and ceramics.

After a five-year break caring for my husband, exploring local history and new materials has reawakened my creative passion.

An active member of WNAA for 20 years, I have exhibited widely including as part of Historic England’s Rediscovering Freiston Shore project, at Blackfriars Theatre, The Customs House King’s Lynn, Marshland Village Hall, Norfolk Creative Arts Grimston, and Corner Gallery Boston. Creative from an early age I always enjoyed sketching but then life got in the way and that fell by the wayside. I raised my son and built my career as an IT Systems Trainer for a large construction Plc travelling around the UK. In 2012 I finally took the time to learn about stained glass mosaics and have been “hooked” ever since. I love the way the sun shines through the glass and the depth of colour and shades of glass is incredible. I’ve now taken early retirement and am enjoying making my mosaics in my studio although I’m looking to deliver workshops and share this wonderful art form with others.

My mosaics can go outside in the garden or inside, wherever the owner wishes.

I’ve had my own exhibition at Willoughby Memorial Hall in 2024, part of other exhibitions as well and have completed several commissioned pieces.

I take inspiration from no particular area, I just make what interests me on the day. This could be flowers, birds a mannequin or skulls! 

I work primarily in watercolour, a medium I love for its freshness, transparency, and ability to capture light and atmosphere.

My background is varied: I hold a B.Sc. in Zoology and trained as a teacher, and I have also spent time in research and working as a carer. Born and educated in Spalding, I returned here in 1990, and that is when I began to paint.

At first, my inspiration came from right on my doorstep: the winding Fenland waterways, the vast, changing Fenland skies, and the beautiful churches scattered across South Holland. Further afield, visits to Gibraltar Point and Theddlethorpe Dunes opened up new subjects - seascapes, beachcombing, wide marshland scenes, and the rich wildlife that calls these places home.

Regular trips to Cley Marshes with the Norfolk Wildlife Trust and the North Norfolk Coast led to paintings of wildlife and coastal landscapes, which have been exhibited both at Cley Marshes itself and at The Gallery in Holt.

Since the pandemic, my focus has turned more firmly to Lincolnshire. Weekly walks around RSPB Frampton Marsh bring countless encounters with nature, and I use my camera to capture fleeting moments I might otherwise miss - I always paint from my own direct observations. Taking part in butterfly surveys has also given me endless material for my ongoing series of butterfly paintings.

My work has been shown in galleries both locally and across the UK, and accepted into prestigious exhibitions including:

Potter, constructor, author, and video creator

As an artisan I am fascinated by materials and revel in collecting and using random articles for art and construction projects. Being deeply involved in resilience and the promotion of skills for everyone; I teach in various formats to encourage people to engage with life long learning.

In my art and craft I seek inspiration from accidental happenings; elaborating on experiences, songs, and books that have influences. The effect can accumulate over decades with surprising results, the merest hint of a title or a word brings back memories and associations.

The pots and ceramics are created from home dug wild or recycled clay, to combine pre industrial forms with a twist to modern utility.. The YouTube videos (since 2011) share information and repair methods to encourage skill building and a fight back against corporate banditry.

Creating, designing, and enjoying life. Retired sales professional with a passion for art, home interiors, and self-expression through mixed media, watercolour, and acrylic painting.

The Impressionists approach to capturing light and atmosphere has been an influence on how I see and interpret the world around me.

Drawn to wide, expansive skies, dramatic seascapes, and the quiet beauty of coastal scenery that surround me and constantly inspire my work. It is the interplay of light, movement, and colour that motivates me most; when these three elements come together in the landscapes where I live and work, painting becomes my natural response - a way to record the effects of light and shade, and to express the emotions these shifting scenes stir within me.

Having painted for most of my life, it was only when I moved back to Scotland that I found the space and time to focus on my art and develop my practice more seriously.

Working primarily in oils, I spent several years capturing the soft, misty landscapes and atmospheric light of Moray, building a body of work shaped by that distinctive environment.

Since relocating to Skegness, I have embraced the change of scenery, enjoying the opportunity to experiment with the new qualities of light, shade, and mist that define this coastal area, and to explore how these unique conditions shape my response to the landscape.

Completing the 'Advanced Oils' course with Martin Kinnear Studio has had a profound impact on my work. Through this training, I have developed a new, evolving style, one that leans toward abstraction, yet remains firmly grounded in the reality of the natural world I observe.

My paintings continue to be defined by the core elements that have always driven me: light, shade, and mist, now explored with greater freedom, expression, and a more interpretive approach to the scenes I love.

Originally from Kent, I have always loved drawing from a very young age.

I graduated with a degree in Garden Design in 2001with most of my work being drawn in a technical style; producing garden plans and perspective sketches.

After a long break from anything artistic, I began attending a local watercolour class in 2021. Through this, I fell in love with painting in this medium, as well as in line and wash.

Alongside my current work as a gardener, I paint as much as possible in my free time. I have found myself being drawn to the effects of light and shadows falling on landscapes and buildings, and unconsciously promote a feeling of stillness and calm in my work.

I am a member of the Spalding Arts & Crafts Society and regularly exhibit in their group exhibitions. I have also had paintings in the Corner Gallery and Fydell House in Boston, and I have completed several commissioned paintings for private clients.

Based in Spalding, Lincolnshire, I create oil paintings exclusively of the Fenland landscape, working both en plein air and in the studio. My work is shown in solo/group exhibitions, available as limited/open edition prints, and I accept landscape commissions. Collections are held privately across the UK and worldwide.

Drawing inspiration from Impressionism, Romanticism, and artists including Edward Hopper, I am driven by a deep connection to nature and the unique character of the Fens – its vast flatness, dramatic skies, seasonal shifts, and quiet horizons.

A former graphic designer, I turned to full-time oil painting in 2015 after living in Southeast Asia. Self-taught in landscape painting, with early guidance from my father and formal art history training, my work has been warmly embraced locally. I am an exhibiting member of several regional art societies, winner of the 2017 Andrew Howarth Award and 2018 People’s Choice Award, and featured in various publications.

I also run Fenland Frames, a local picture framing service.
